Instagram Audit Part 1: Branding Audit

business tips content creation how to

Welcome to our Instagram Audit Series!

In this 4 part blog series, I’ll walk you through a different part of auditing your IG account so you can see what’s working, what’s not, and how you can improve… sound good?

First, we’ll start with a branding audit

Instagram Branding Audit

So what is a branding audit exactly?

Great question! Try to imagine yourself as a first-time visitor to your page, what’s the first impression going to be?

People will only give your profile a couple of seconds of attention before they move on so your goal is to try to catch their attention and make them stay longer, got it?

What we’re trying to achieve with an audit is to see what’s currently there and see how we can improve.

Where to start

Profile picture: When’s the last time you updated your profile picture? Is it good quality? Your profile picture should always be really good quality, especially if it’s your logo. If it’s an image, consider swapping it out for an updated pic if it’s been a while.

Does your branding match your website & what message you’re trying to portray? Do you have consistent branding across all your platforms? Make sure you are sticking to your brand colours and fonts to create a cohesive, put-together presence online.

Graphics: Having consistent branding in your graphics is super important too. If you are using Canva to create your graphics, make sure you add your brand fonts and colours to a brand kit so you don’t get distracted by all the options.

There you have it, step one to your complete Instagram account audit.

See you on the next blog for an audit of your Instagram bio!
